It has been a very busy month over here. Working and staying home with a toddler is not easy. Do I sometimes have to wake up at 5am or work until 10pm? Yes. But I would not trade it. I get to be home with my girl and I love it.
H is thriving! Girlie loves swim and gymnastics class. Since she recently transitioned to one nap, we’ll also be doing more daily activities (story time at the library, more flash cards, and arts/crafts). This part of being a mom is so much fun!
We celebrated Juneteenth with some friends in Annapolis. We had lunch at Lighthouse Bistro (great kid friendly restaurant). The food and vibes were immaculate.
Father’s Day was low key. I have never been a crafty person; but H made a few cards for her dada. -Corey just wanted to go to the driving range and start the process of getting his boating license! He finished the course a few weeks ago. Stay tuned for our boating adventures!
I love a daily walk; but it has been too hot for our usual long walk. Maybe I need a bigger fan?! This one is just okay.
I went to get a trim last week. I really do not know what I want to do with my hair anymore. I think it’s too hot for Boho locs/Box braids. So it’s just been flat twists and slick buns. I might get some stitch braids soon. Idk. I would love a silk press but this heat will not allow it.
We made another trip to the National Arboretum. It’s one of our favorite places in DC. I love the beautiful landscapes/gardens and the new Bonsai museum. There is plenty of space for toddlers to play. You also don’t have to worry about brushing elbows with too many people. I’m looking forward to a family picnic in the Fall.
