A ONEderful Garden Party
Our girl turned ONE last week. I honestly cannot even believe it. The days are long and the year has truly been short. We celebrated in Florida with family/close friends and it was perfect. I decided on a Garden theme pretty early on. My bestie (Brea; Harper’s godmom) and I started planning 6 months in advance. Brea is amazing at planning events and I could not have pulled everything off without her. The small decor details were mostly inspired by her (welcome sign, letter box, etc). I was focused on the big picture but the small details made it even more special.
Invitations:
I went with Paperless Post. It worked out pretty well. In the future, I think I’ll send out paper invites.
Venue:
The Garden Villa. I wanted to have indoor and outdoor space available. This place was perfect for our theme.
Food:
We would have preferred to handle the food ourselves but we had to go with the venue’s catering. I heard the food was good but I did not get a chance to have any lol.
Desserts:
Cakes by Virgo. I loved everything about our desserts! It was all delicious and presented so well. My only regret was not saving myself a cakepop! (Cart rental)
Play:
Brinca Play. We had a soft place set and a bounce house. She loved the soft play set. The bounce house was more for the bigger kids.
Balloons:
Confetti Ballons: the decal was initially missing and then ultimately displayed incorrectly. All in all, the result was pretty.
Décor & other details:
Look how cute! Brea made all of these. It was all perfection but she really blew me away with the marquee “1”.
This was a surprise from Brea. When we walked into the party, Angel by Anita Baker was playing. Harp entered the world to this song and it was our first dance song. So special. The violinist played so many other great songs too.
Highchair & Kids table/chairs:
PetiteGlam. This was a detail I almost did without. It was so adorable.
Harp’s outfit:
Immediately after deciding on a garden theme, I knew I needed to find a flower crown. I think they are so cute. I ended up buying two crowns from Mason&Harlow (halo and tie back). She wore two outfits: this pretty dress from Nora Lee and a lace romper from Amazon.
I’ll leave you with a few more photos:
All photos by family/friends and myself.
